I struggle to read my messy notes on every page. Only if I could get to Kierkegaard or Conor Cruise O'Brien and beat them with some logic.
Some of the other comments are to be ignored. Sometimes I sit and wonder why someone would write some of these comments.
Some students are sadly leaving comments of pages. They do it because were assigned to annotate a book. And one wrote metaphor next to a stanza.
People cheer from the seats saying positive things like "Absolutely.""Yes." they yell to James Baldwin and Duns Scotus.
We all have sat in a chair reading trying to figure out what to write along the text.
If you made it through college without expanding your mind come forward.
Even monks write along the pages of gospels for the people to come. These books will outlast themselves.
