Storyboard Text

  • Monstresor sees Fortunato at the festival. The two discuss wine.
  • A cask of Amontillado!
  • This cannot be! I must see for myself....
  • The two men go to Monstresor's house. to get the cask of Amontillado.
  • Are you sure you can come into the catacombs? What a dreadful cough...
  • *cough* I'm absolutely fine! I shall not die of cough!
  • Monstresor and Fortunato have many drinks in the catacombs.
  • *cough* *cough* I'm fine.. more wine..
  • I chose to have a lighter color for the title to represent innocence, nothing bad happening yet. Monstresor is shorter than Fortunato, showing Fortunato's dominate position. Fortunato also has richer-looking clothes, and is looking at Monstresor inn disbelief. Monstresor has dark eyes, and has his head cocked in fake innocence.
  • Chains
  • The title's color is now a little darker, and matches the sepia picture. The house is nice, but not a huge one. Monstresor pretends to look concerned, but Fortunato is infuriated by the idea of not continuing. There is foreshadowing in the lines the characters say.
  • Buried Alive? Fortunato's grave is sealed off by bricks.
  • The title is black now, representing the death and darkness underground. Monstresor is again feigning concern, and Fortunato is happy for the first time, due to the large wine glass next to him. He's had a lot of wine. He is also coughing more. Picture is now in grayscale. The only color now is red.
  • Monstresor Reflects
  • And nobody has found his body for half a century. No one will ever find him...
  • Monstresor chains Fortunato into a hole in the wall, and takes joy in his torture. He rests to enjoy Fortunato's suffering.
  • The title is now red, representing torture and murder. Fortunato is smaller than Monstresor, and he's also in gray scale, to show how he is fading away as a person.
  • The title is in the 'Creeper' font to show the intense and the horrible actions of the characters. Monstresor is shown as a monster who takes joy in torturing people,
  • The devil horns are gone because Monstresor can try to hide what he has done, but the devil tail remains to haunt him forever of what he has done. The title is orange for the same reasons, what he done is hidden, but not unknown by everyone.
