Spartan women stayed home keep pretty and bear children. All of the regular household chores were done by slaves called helots. Spartan women were educated starting at the age of 7. They were trained athletics but not as brutal as the men. They did not go to boarding school like the men. they were also trained to protect their houses with wrestling and javelin.
Spartan men were professional soldiers until the age of 60. They were educated until the age of 30. For military training they took test to show their physical skills and their leadership abilities. They lived in barracks from age 7-30. After that they were allowed to go back and live with their families.
