There are many ways that chromosomal problems manifest themselves , such as down syndrome (trisomy 23) or Cri du Chat Syndrome (chromosome 5p deletion syndrome) Scientists have yet to figure out why these happen but we know how they happen
Trisomy 16 is a chromosomal abnormality in which there are 3 copies of chromosome 16 rather than two. It is the most common trisomy leading to miscarriage and the second most common chromosomal cause of it, closely following X-chromosome monosomy.
These effect people in many different ways such as asymmetrical features, birth defects, and down syndrome.
