Even if they arent invited they just show up. On the right is Gatsby who is always throwing these parties in hope that Daisy will show up and he will finally reunite with her. . In the middle is Jordan and Nick. Nick and Jordan met during lunch at Daisy's house. ON the left is Daisy and Tom.
  • RESOLUTION
  • The climax of the story happens when Daisy and Gatsby are driving back from the city after spending the Afternoon with Tom, Jordan and Nick. A big fight happened so Daisy left with a lot of anger and was speeding home. Myrtle, Tom's lover, ran out in front of the car and gets hit and killed.
  • RESOLUTION
  • "The Chauffeur--he was on of Wolfsheim's proteges--heard the shots--afterward he could only say that he hadn't thought anything much about them." -Nick Gatsby had been shot and killed by George Wilson
  • At the end of the novel there is a funeral for Jay Gatsby. However, nobody shows up. This shows that Gatsby really had no true friends other then nick. Everyone went to his parties because they could, not because they were friends with Jay. Not even Daisy goes. She has already left town with Tom and her Daughter.
  • In the end the theme of the story is even when life gets tough you can not live in the past. You can not recreate the past. You must live in the present.
