When Brian woke up he was terribly thirsty and he saw the lake and wondered if the water in the lake was okay to drink. He remembered the dead pilot strapped into the seat in the lake but he felt like he might die if he didn't drink anything.
GRRRRRRRRRRR... I can do this
He walked over to a part of the lake where there were no bugs he could see and he said, “I’ll just take a sip.” Once he felt the water go through his mouth he could not stop so he drank chugs of it into his stomach.
After he was done, he threw up pretty much all of the water and his stomach started swelling but it reduced the pain in his head which actually made the pain in his head feel better.
yay I am okay!
Brian got a rush of thoughts all at one time which caused him to get a little bit frustrated so he said to himself to slow down and that helped keep frustration down.
Brian remembered an English teacher he had once had named Mr. Perpich and he was always telling kids to “get motivated” and stay positive. That helped Brian realize he needed to lay out all his things and organize to find out what he needed to do.
Brian started to think about everything that had happened and he realized he was very lucky because if his plane would have hit the rocks he would be dead.
