Storyboard Text

  • Banquo is suspicious of Macbeth; how the prophecy has come true and Macbeth has become king, but he also belives that that means that his part of the prophecy will come true. Before Banquo and his son, Fleance, leave for a ride, Macbeth sweet talks him and invites him to a fancy banquet in the evening.
  • Tonight we hold a solemn supper, sir, And I’ll request your presence.
  • Macbeth meets with 2 murderers and he reminds them of the wrong Banquo had done to them in the past. He asked them if they are 'man' enough and willing to seek revenge on Banquo. Macbeth reminds them that they must kill Fleance as well. Both men promise to kill Banquo.
  • Lady Macbeth asked if she could have a chat with Macbeth. She tells him to look happier. But Macbeth is talking to Lady Macbeth about his worries, that there are still threats to the throne that have be to eliminated. He also tells her to say a lot of nice things to Banquo, as well as that he says he is about to do something bad but doesn't tell her what it is.
  • Oh, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife! Thou know’st that Banquo, and his Fleance, lives.
  • But in them nature’s copy’s not eterne.
  • The sun is setting, and two murderers joined by a third are at park near the palace. Fleance and Banquo dismount from their horse, to walk back to the palace. They light a torch, and that was when the murderers attacked them. Banquo was stabbed, but Fleance was able to escape. The murderers leave with Banquo's body and return to the banquet.
  • O treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou may ’st revenge —O slave!
  • Thou art the best o' th' cutthroats: Yet he’s good that did the like for Fleance. If thou didst it, thou art the nonpareil.
  • Macbeth and Lady Macbeth welcome their guests. Macbeth walks along the table, he sees the first murderer approaching at the doorway. He talks to him and finds out that Banquo is dead but Fleance had escaped, which leaves Macbeth angered and scared.
  • Most royal sir, Fleance is ’scaped.
  • Macbeth was invited back to sit down on the seat that they had reserved for him. However, as he returns he finds Banquo's ghost sitting in his chair, leaving him totally shocked and the guests confused. Lady Macbeth excuses him. Macbeth is starting to make a fool out of himself. Lady Macbeth asks the guest to leave.
  • Avaunt, and quit my sight! Let the earth hide thee. Thy bones are marrowless, thy blood is cold. Thou hast no speculation in those eyes Which thou dost glare with!
