  • Meanwhile in Shakespeare's life...
  • In 1596, Shakespeare's son, Hamnet died. This is most likely Shakespeare's inspiration for writing Hamlet .
  • One Night, a hooded stranger appeared at the Apothecary’s home, inquiring about Widge's short-hand abilities.
  • Widge is sold to the mysterious man, who is named Simon Bass.
  • Simon and Widge go to London, where Widge is told to sneak into an acting troupe and 'steal' Hamlet. Simon wants his own acting troupe to be able to preform the oh so popular play.
  • Simon Bass
  • In 1602 Shakespeare wrote Hamlet. It was preformed many times, even up to 5 a month.
  • To be, or not to be; that is the question.
  • Widge sneaks into an acting group, planning to steal Hamlet. There, he find a sense of family for the first time.
