Storyboard Text

  • When the first people had come to America, they had no intention of breaking away from England.
  • It was when England refused to allow the colonists to have some control of their lives, when they finally realized they should be on their own.
  • So, the colonists and England went to war and in the end the colonists won the country!
  • Then they had to have many meetings to decide on how to run the country and how to write the U.S Constitution. They could not decide on how to run the country and wanted to make sure that it was equal and fair for every one.
  • The U.S. Constitution is the official document that states the way the government is run. It states that the government is split into 3 branches and each branch has its own power.
  • The U.S. Constitution has kept America the way it was intended to be by our founding fathers and we have no intention of changing it any time soon.
