With gentle pushing Olivia eventually began to build a tolerance for change. Pretty soon she didn’t need the special plate. With consistent routine and structure, she began to flourish.
With her father and stepmother modeling the same gradual limit-setting at home, Olivia’s behavior consistently improved, and the screaming tantrums became less and less common
Soon, Olivia was able to play with her classmates, not just alongside them. And the little girl who previously had only been affectionate with her father began giving hugs to staff and friends regularly
especially when she graduated and moved on with excitement to kindergarten.....
