I, Leonardo Da Vinci, grew up here, in the village of Vinci, witch is about twenty miles from Florence.

We made Vinci, Leo's home town/village famous with our paintings
I was born on April 15, 1452. I was the natural son of Piero, the eldest son of Antonio da Vinci, and a peasant girl named Caterina.
After my mom was sent away to marry a man named Accattabriga I lived in Vinci for 15 years with my father, grandfather, and uncle Francesco
In 1476, I, Piero da Vinci, moved to Florence with my son and married. In Florence I was a government notary
In Florence i studied art and nature and showed great potential.
In 1498 I made the golden ratio. The golden ratio is a number, 1.618, that appears in geometry, art, and architecture. The golden ratio is also known as the divine proportion. You can see the gold all around me, that represents the way that the golden ratio is everywhere
I even invented some of the machinery you see on the news today, like the tank and the helicopter.
