Jim decides to talk a nice run into the forest.
Jim trips on a small rock and then cuts his knee.
Jim finds a rock and sits in order to investigate his knee.
Stimulus: Break in blood vessel wall cause bleeding
Jim realizes his knee is bleeding.
Receptors: Damaged cells release chemicals. This information gets sent along afferent path to the control center.
Jim decides to continue to go thru the forest but instead of continuing his running, he chooses to walk the rest.
Control Center: Gets Information, and sends along the efferent path to the effectors. Telling the effectors to start clotting and release additional chemicals.
Jim just finished his walk. He then looks down at his knee and realized it is no longer bleeding.
Response: The clotting starts to accelerate ,the blood clot plugs the vessel wall and the bleeding stops.
