When Siddhartha was born his parents knew he was a special child as they announced his birth at the palace.
Siddhartha's father wanted for him to be king and so showered him in luxurious gifts to distract him from leaving the palace.
One day Siddhartha curiously left the palace and went for a ride on his chariot in the countryside.
During his journey he came across the four signs; an old man, a sick man, a corpse and a holy man.
Siddhartha was influenced by the holy man and wanted to become as content and spiritual as him.
At the age of 30, Siddhartha abandoned his lifestyle and became a monk.
