Storyboard Text

  • Status Quo: Amir starts out as a young boy who lives a comfortable life in Afghanistan, with his "best friend" Hassan. Years later, Amir grows up, marries, and moves to America to start a new life.
  • Call To Adventure: While living a new life in America with his wife, Amir receives a phone call from his good friend Rahim Khan in Afghanistan. Rahim Khan asks Amir to come back to his homeland, and tells him there is "a way to be good again".
  • ring ring!
  • Assistance: Once arriving in Afghanistan, Amir receives assistance from Rahim Khan. Rah Khan provides Amir with a driver who will take him where he needs to go.
  • Departure: Amir leaves for the orphanage where Hassan's son, also known as Amir's nephew currently resides.
  • Trials: Amir arrives at the orphanage in hopes of finding his nephew, Sohrab. Unfortunately, it is understood that someone had come and taken him. Amir is then told to go to the stadium where he will find the person who took Sohrab. While he is there, he witnesses a woman get pelted to death with stones for committing the act of adultery.
  • Approach: After the event at the stadium, Amir decides to go and confront the man that has been said to have taken Sohrab from the orphanage.
