Storyboard Text

  • In this ending scene, it shows how the ship crashes and all four of the crew members are attempting to get to the ship, but the  correspondent is having trouble and is lagging behind the group.
  • A wave forms behind the  correspondent pushing him forward and over the captain while the oiler, who was once ahead of everyone, begins to struggle and is overtaken.
  • As the short story comes to a conclusion, it illustrates how the correspondent ended up  surviving while the oiler died.  This represents the theme  that nature does not have a  consciousness, it was up to chance all along.
