  • "I hate this place. I hate this place. I can't write it enough times to make it look the way I feel. I hate, hate, hate this place!!"
  • Rising Action
  • "My goal is to make you look like a human being in the jury's eyes."
  • Steve Harmon is supposed to be the lookout for the robbery attempt by James King and Richard Evans. During the crime Alguinaldo Nesbitt, the store owner, was murdered. Steve now has to prove that he didn't do the killing of the innocent man.
  • Climax
  • Steve is taken away from his house and brought to the prison to be asked questions. His mom was heartbroken when she saw him being escorted to the police car. He is then put behind bars after being convicted of committing the murder. 
  • Falling Action
  • Steve begins to go on trial.  he is assigned a lawyer, Kathy O'Brien. She isn't very confident that her and Steve will win. Lots of people come to testify, and most of the information helps Steve. Overtime O'Brien still thinks that they won't win. Steve and his parents are nervous throughout the whole trial. 
  • Resolution 
  • After all the commotion the jury decided a verdict. They believed that Steve was innocent and didn't commit the murder.Steve and his parents jumped up in joy!  hoping that he'll never return. 
  • But for the other team, James King and Asa Briggs lost. King was found guilty of killing Mr. Nesbitt. He was sentaced 25 years to life in prison.
  • Steve returned home and got to see the one he missed most,  his younger brother Jerry. Even though the trial was ove he still wondered what Mrs. O'Brien had seen. After they were declared innocent she saw something. A look Steve culdn't explain.
