  • I summon you by Rosaline’s bright eyes, by her high forehead and her red lips, by her fine feet, by her straight legs, by her trembling thighs, and by the regions right next to her thighs. In the name of all of these things, I command you to appear before us in your true form.
  • ACT II SCENE I
  • Can I go away while my heart stays here? I have to go back to where my heart is.
  • Romeo, my cousin Romeo! Romeo!
  • ACT II SCENE II
  • O Romeo , Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? It’s only your name that’s my enemy. You’d still be yourself even if you stopped being a Montague. What’s a Montague anyway? It isn’t a hand, a foot, an arm, a face, or any other part of a man
  • Shall I hear more?trust your words. Just call me your love, and I will take a new name. From now on I will never be Romeo again.
  • ACT II SCENE III
  • I love rich Capulet’s daughter. I love her, and she loves me,we need you to marry us,now I’m begging you: please, agree to marry us today.
  • Holy Saint Francis, Have you given up so quickly on Rosaline, whom you loved so much? ill help you with your secret wedding. This marriage may be lucky enough to turn the hatred between your families into pure love.
  • Romeo doesn't want to leave the Capulet's property, so he ditches his friends and hides out in the orchard behind the Capulet house.Benvolio and Mercutio try to find him. Unaware that Romeo now has the hots for Juliet, they shout lots of filthy things about Rosaline hoping that Romeo will come out to defend Rosaline's honor.
  • ACT II SCENE IIII
  • He looks skinny, like a dried herring without its eggs, and he hasn’t got his girl. O flesh, flesh, you’ve turned pale and weak like a fish,come break this up, Benvolio. I’m losing this duel of wits.
  • in the balcony/Juliet's room scene, Romeo and Juliet reveal their love to each other, and at Juliet's suggestion, they plan to marry.
  • ACT II SCENE IIIII
  • I wish you had my bones, and I had your news. Come on now, I beg you, speak, good Nurse, speak.
  • Friar Laurence enters, He is gathering herbs and talking to himself about medicine and poison. Romeo arrives and He tells the friar that he is in love with Juliet and that he wants the friar to marry them. .
  • ACT II SCENE IIIIII
  • Benvolio and Mercutio enter. They speak about where Romeo is and where he went the night before, after the feast. Mercutio makes fun of Romeo for pining over Rosaline. Benvolio informs Mercutio that Tybalt has sent Romeo a challenge to a duel. Romeo arrives and argues with Mercutio over where he's been.
  • This is a bad joke. It’s all silliness.You were never with me for anything if you weren’t there for the goose.
  • Juliet enters waiting impatiently for the Nurse to return with news from Romeo. Finally, the Nurse and Peter return. The Nurse sends Peter away and Juliet begs the Nurse to tell her the message Romeo sent. The Nurse delays giving Juliet the message and instead whines of aching bones and an aching back. She finally tells Juliet that she is to go to Friar Laurence's cell immediately.
  • I am tired. Leave me alone for a minute. Oh my, my bones ache so much,You don’t know how to pick a man,hurry up and rush over to Friar Lawrence’s cell. There’s a husband there who’s waiting to make you his wife.
  • Friar Laurence and Romeo enter waiting in the friar's cell for Juliet to arrive. He warns Romeo
  • May the heavens be happy with this holy act of marriage, so nothing unfortunate happens later to make us regret it.
  • amen. But whatever misfortunes occur, they can’t ruin the joy I feel with one look at her.
