Archibald John Motley Junior
On my way to Chicago!
Archibald John Motley Junior was born in New Orleans in 1891 but later when he was in his young years of life, he moved to Chicago. He was one of the first black men to attend the School of Art Institute of Chicago. He had competed with a lot of other good artists, too.
The accomplishments that were made by Archibald Motley were that he had a lot of potential as an artist and he sold a lot of his paintings which were about jazz. He was a jazz artist and if you haven't guessed already, he drew things about jazz, like people playing jazz instruments and dancing to jazz.
He is a very important person because he had taught other African Americans to follow their dreams and not to let anyone stop you.
