CD:"The disease which had thus entombed the lady in the maturity of youth... the mockery of a faint blush upon the bosom and the face, and that suspiciously lingering smile upon the lip which is so terrible in death"(24). CD:"I saw that he spoke in a low, hurried and gibbering murmur, as if unconscious of my presence. Bending closely over him...I dared not to speak! We have put her living in the tomb!"(29). CM:This sets a dramatic and suspenseful tone to the story because usher reveals whats tormenting him.

CM:This story was a perfect example of a good gothic novel it was well written and used the dark, gloomy and mysterious setting to create a good ending.
