  • Call to Adventure
  • Threshold
  • Guardian/Helpers/Mentors
  • Quentin's call to adventure was when his childhood sweetheart, Margo Roth Spiegelman, appeared in his bedroom in the middle of the night and asked for his help. She needed to do eleven things that night and needed him to be her "getaway man." Hesitantly, Quentin agrees and drives Margo around town, accompanying her on her unpredictable missions.
  • Physical Challenges
  • Quentin passes the threshold when he accepts Margo's offer by going on a risky adventure and stepping out of his comfort zone. Throughout the night, Q trails along behind Margo as she takes revenge on the people who betrayed her. Q assists her as she expose her boyfriend and best friend, thanks her friend, put fish in front of people's houses, spray paint letter M's onto the side of their houses, and break into SeaWorld. After she was done with her plan, she wanted Q to "pick his victim" and get his revenge. She showed him the thrill of living life a bit on the edge. But after that night, Margo goes leaves and Q goes on his own journey to bring her back.
  • Emotional Challenges
  • Throughout the journey, Quentin has three mentors; Ben, Lacey, and Radar. They go on the whole journey to find Margo. They advise him and help him find clues leading them to where Margo could've went to. Ben and Radar are Q's best friends and they were always there for him, even before the journey started. Since Lacey was a nice person, she worried for Margo's disappearance and whether if Margo's dead or not, so she decided to tag along with them.
  • Temptations
  • When they finally figured out where to go to find Margo, it was their graduation day and they only had 24 hours to find her before she leaves forever. The drive from where they lived to where she was, was about 21 hours. Everyone agreed to go with Quentin and skip their graduation. Another challenge he had was the drive there. All of them were so unprepared for a road trip since none of them brought food or money, they were wearing their graduation gowns and they didn't have enough time to waste.
  • Obstacles that Q had to conquer was when he couldn't figure out Margo's clues and everyone thought he was overreacting about Margo. Everyone wanted to give up on looking for clues about Margo's disappearance because they but he persisted that they continue to try to piece together the clues. Margo left behind clues that were hidden in plain sight making it so much harder for everyone to believe Q that she left these clues for Q to find and look for her.
  • Once they reach Agole, they found Margo was in a Agole General Store. After everyone left, Margo and Quentin were left alone. At first they start to argue about why she left and how she "didn't want to be found." When they stopped fighting, she tells Q how she wants a complete new start and asks him to join her in going to New York. He's tempted to because he loves her and would do anything for her but he knows he can't just leave his old life behind just to follow her. Instead, he convinces her to go back with him and she does.
