  • "The Snowy Day" Main Character
  • "The Snowy Day" Conflict
  • Peter faced an external conflict during the story. After his adventurous day in the snow, he packed two snow balls and placed them in his pocket. He told his mother about the adventures he participated in and thought about them during his bath. Before going to bed, he checked inside his pocket for his two snowballs and discovered nothing in them. He went to bed feeling sad and had a dream about the sun melting all the snow away. However, when he woke up there was still a winter wonderland with new snow falling!
  • "The Snowy Day" Theme
  • The theme of the story is that snow could be used for more than one activity. Peter discovered numerous ways to entertain himself while exploring the snow. Another theme of the story is that snow can melt in warm conditions including indoors.
