  • In Egypt, the River Nile creates a fertile green valley across the desert. It was by the banks of the river that one of the oldest civilizations in the world began
  • Pottery
  • As soon as a Pharaoh died, the process of embalming and preparing him for the afterlife began.
  • Slaves
  • The pharaoh got the rich peasants to do the farm work on the rich lands.
  • The Pharoah
  • Egyptian pottery, like many pottery types, was made with clay. Their location close to the Nile river gave them the ability to have an abundance of clay.
  • Some wealthy ancient Egyptians did have slaves. Slaves were captured enemies or criminals. But there were not that many slaves in ancient EgypT
  • The most powerful person in ancient Egypt was the pharaoh. The pharaoh was the political and religious leader of the Egyptian people.
