Hi I am Sarah and this is Ashley and Candace! We are going to talk about frost bite!
I went on a hike in Alaska and I was not prepared. I was wearing a lite jacket, thin socks, no gloves.
All of a sudden I could not feel my toes and fingers!
I took off my socks and shoes and four of my toes were black!! I started touching them and couldn't feel a thing.
HI, I'm Candace and the things you are feeling is frostbite! If the skin tingles and burns. The skin may turn red but should not blister or swell. I am going to tell you how to treat it!
The first step is to protect the area from further exposure. The next step is to take off any of the wet clothing, then gently rewarm the area with warm water. After, wrap up the area from any further exposure. Also, do NOT walk on your feet if the frost bite is on your feet.
