  • Massachusetts has my back!
  • Tennesse support my campain
  • Kentucky is backing my campain
  • Mudslinging
  • Andrew Jackson is a pig that could care less about the south!
  • John Quincy Adams is an ignorant republican that will run our country into the ground!
  • The Corrupt Bargain..
  • I can use my power as speaker of the house to get you elected if you make me secretary of state.
  • I believe that you will be the next secretary of state then.
  • In the election of 1824, the people running were known as favorite sons because of the support of their home state. Henry Clay, with the support of Kentucky, Andrew Jackson with the backing of the Tennesse, and John Quincy Adams with the support of Massachusetts.
  • A wasted presidency
  • How have I been voted down yet again? Why won´t congress help me?
  • Maybe if you had won the election fairly you wold be more popular!
  • Republicans will make our government powerful!
  • Beginning in the election of 1824, the campaign technique of mudslinging. Mudslinging was the use of insulting your opponents to make yourself look better.
  • Democrats vs. Republicans
  • No! Jackson will make america great again!
  • Democrats will help the states!
  • The corrupt bargain was a deal where Henry Clay decided to use his power as speaker of the house to influence the vote in Adams favor. In return, Adams would make Clay vice president. This became known as the corrupt bargain.
  • Winning by a landslide
  • Welcome President Jackson!
  • During Adams presidency, he was incredibly unpopular because of the corrupt bargain. During Adams 4 years as president, congress did everything they could to shut down his ideas.
  • During the election of 1824, you saw the rise of the political parties. The democrats supported Jackson in his run for president, while the republicans supported Adams during his presidency.
  • Adams for reelection 1828
  • America changed during the elections of 1824 and 1828 because of the political parties, and the new system of elections. The era of good feelings had ended resulting in the democrats and republican parties, and the new nomination ways in elections. America was looking up.
