  • Exodus 20:5- I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery
  • Moses lead the Hebrews out of Egypt, through the red sea and into the dessert towards Canaan, ' The land of Milk and Honey' .On the journey the Hebrews grew tired, hungry and thirsty, they began to question God's love, devotion and legitimacy

  • 6. though shalt not commit adultery 7. though shalt not steal 8. though shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour 9. do not let thyself lust after thy neighbours wife 10. though shalt not covet thy neighbours house, nor his farm, nor his cattle, nor anything that is his the lords prayer

  • God appears on top of Mount Sinai in the form of a storm.The Hebrews are scared so Moses says to them Exodus 20:20 'Do not be afraid, God has come to test you so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning' Moses Climbs up Mount Sinai to talk to God

  • Moses stayed up Mount Sinai for 40 days and 40 nights, talking to God. God gave Moses two stone tablets that he inscribed with his ten laws, The Ten Commandments' God also gave Moses plans to build a tabernacle, a place where God could be with his people

  • Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the Tabernacle blue print and the ten Commandments.
  • Moses presented the 'Ten Commandments' to the Hebrews and told them that if they follow these rules and live as living representations of God then God will Cherish them and keep them safe. The Hebrews replied, Exodus 19:8 We will  do everything the Lord has said
