  • CONFLICT

  • The story begins in Florida, after the death of his grandfather, Jacob and his father traveled all the way to the Cairnholm island, in Wales to find out more about his grandfather's childhood.
  • CLIMAX
  • The first conflict that is presented in this story is that Jacob must find out what happened to his grandpa.The second conflict on the book was that a hollowgast and a Wight were trying to hunt the peculiars. Jacob and the peculiars are involved and were trying to save their lives.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Jacob was able to enter a loop and runs into Emma when he was on his journey in finding the children's home. He asked for the date of that certain day and learned that it was "September 3, 1940" --- the day the bomb hit the children's home.
  • RESOLUTION
  • Jacob learns that he can in fact see the hollowgasts. Jacob and the children run into the small village where they run into the monster that held Miss Peregrine as his hostage. They defeated the hollowgast and freed Miss Peregrine.
  • They freed Miss Peregrine and returned to the house but Miss Peregrine being unable to shift into her human form resulted to her inability to reset the loop. so the bomb hit the house and destroyed it.
  • Jacob knows that he need to decide and choose whether he'll go back to his family or stay with Miss Peregrine and the Peculiars. After reviewing the odds, he decided to live with miss peregrine to face his fears.
