  • Man vs. Self is an internal conflict that can pull someone two ways. Ex. She wants to talk to him, but she is afraid to do so, or how in The Outsiders, Ponyboy sometimes lies to himself that Darry loves him. However, he often doesn't believe himself.
  • Man vs. Self
  • Man vs. Society is a conflict that focuses on an individual having a different opinion than their community. Ex. Galileo believing that the sun is the center of the solar system, while everyone else believed it was the Earth, or how in The Outsiders, the Socs are thought to be heartless fighters. However, they disagree because they have problems too.
  • GO BACK TO THE GAOL WHERE YOU BELONG!

  • Man vs. Man is a conflict that occurs between two individuals who have different opinions. Ex. This girl thinks the Frogs are better, however the boy believes Thunder is better, or how in The Ousiders, the Soc Bob thinks that Ponyboy is "white trash with long hair" and Ponyboy thinks otherwise.
