  • We had wars to protect our borders for 245 years and soon conquered our Latin neighbors.
  • First Period Of Expansion
  • We controlled all of Italy!
  • We drove the Etruscan King out of power and defeated the Estruscans!
  • It's 509 B.C.E right now.
  • Second Period Of Expansion
  • We controlled: North Africa, most of Spain, the island of Sicily, Macedonia, and Greece.
  • Carthage fought three wars with us!
  • From 264 to 146 B.C.E Rome's growth threatened Carthage.
  • As the civil wars came, Roman generals were becoming dictators like Caesar and making the armies go against the Senate.
  • Third Period Of Expansion
  • In 145 to 44 B.C.E, we came to rule Asia Minor, Syria, and Egypt, while Julius Caesar conquered a lot of Gual.
  • When Caesar was murdered in 44 B.C.E, the people who murdered him thought they were saving the Senate's power, but Civil Wars started and Rome was ruled by one supreme ruler named Octavian, and he was soon nicknamed Augustus.
  • The Roman Empire goes from Britain all the way to the Black Sea!
  • Forth Period Expansion
  • The Expansion went on until 14 C.E. Augustus made new territory by pushing the empire to natural boundaries.
