Storyboard Text

  • Welcome to practice everyone. First thing were going to do is take some penalties to decide our starting line up
  • First up to try to score is Jerry Smith
  • Come on Jerry. Show me what you got.
  • I'm sorry Jerry but you cant be on the starting line up.
  • HA! My grandma shoots better then you.
  • Science? Theres science to shooting a penalty shot?
  • I didn't make The starting line up on my team because I missed the penalty shot.
  • I'm no good at soccer.
  • Just because you missed a penalty shot doesn't make you bad at soccer. Maybe you just don't know the science behind shooting a goal.
  • What seems to be the problem young man?
  • Why do you say that?
  • Of course there is sit down and ill show you.
  • It does?
  • The biggest thing you need to know about is the amount of distance between the ball and your foot matters.
  • Of course. Think about it like this; if your foot is close top the ball and you kick it its not going to go anywhere but if your foot has momentum when your swinging from a distance its gonna transfer to the ball and send it flying.
  • No, but you do want to steal the ball from the opposing team.
  • how does that have anything to do with soccer?
  • Wow! what else?
  • That is correct. See how much science has to do with soccer?
  • Well you don't want to purposely try to steal the ball from your teammate right?
  • Another way science is a big part is that likes repel and opposites attract.
  • How do they have anything to do with soccer?
  • I didn't realize that science had so much to do with soccer.
  • last but not least you have to know that electrons and protons have to do with soccer too.
  • Well if you kick a ball to pass it to your its like an electron and your like the proton that stays put but the ball goes .
