This is my story of how i learned to avoid, transfer, reduce, and ignore risk
I just ran a stop sign! The police are behind me! What do I do now?
You can avoid risk like this by following the law. We make these laws so that you can keep others safe.
Later that day...Justin got a car wash and was riding down the road and there was dirt in the road and she ran right through it. Now her car is dirty.
Ohh no!! My pretty shiny car is so dirty now. All I had to do is go the other way. But I will just clean it off later.
That right there is ignoring risk. I could've taken the time to not go through the dirt but the loss is so minimal that it's okay.
Justin you need to take your medicine so that you reduce the risk of getting sick!
Justin and John just got in a car accident but because Justin had car insurance he transfers the risk from him to the insurance company.
Well, that's how my day went. Learn from my experiences.
