  • Later that day...
  • Wanna be secretary of state? help me win the voting and I will make that happen.
  • We can beat Jackson together! great plan!
  • After that...
  • This is not fair! this cannot be happening what?!!!
  • For your actions I am sorry but you are not eligible for the running. You will not be reelected sorry.
  • Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, and John Quincy Adams are all running for president. Nobody won the states' votes, so the House of Representatives has to now choose.
  • The Election of 1828

  • Jackson
  • Clay
  • Clay and Adams want to team up against each other so that Jackson does not win. Jackson's followers were upset with this and they called this the Corrupt Bargain.
  • Later that year...
  • Yay! I am the winner!
  • Adams and Clays plan did not succeed as there was a shadow over Adams presidency. Also, people did not like his attempts to make the federal government stronger.
  • In Conclusion
  • The Election of 1828 was not very important issues but more on personality.
  • Jackson won as president because no one agreed with the Corrupt Bargain and it mainly influenced the farmers.
  • In the long run, America was affected by this because now we have fair laws that will make everyone happy. Also we have strong state governments.
