James Madison is elected to be the 4th President of the United States.
US Shipmen were captured and impressed by the British while traveling overseas to trade with France during the French revolution.
Tecumseh is right we must fight back with the British.
We need to protect our home land and geet back to our roots.
Phase 1 - The battle at the Great Lakes was lead by Commodore Perry. Perry battled for two hours until his ship was sunk by the British. He then defeated the British's fleet on a row boat. The British then retreated to Canada where General William Harrison defeated the British at the battle of Thames on the ground.With this victory the ritish were no longer a threat in the Northwest.
While witnessing this battle Francis Scott Key wrote a short poem that now is our Nation Anthem.
Phase 2 - The British finally defeated the French in the French Revolution. This meant that they could now fully focus on the war between them and the US. The British blocked the coast and burned down the white house and President Madison's mansion. The British also attacked Ft. McHenry in Baltimore.
This victory won the war for the Americans! This war increased American patriotism and created war heroes and future presidents. The end of this war also calmed the Native American revolt. Since trade was unavailable during the time of war more factories were built. This sparked the industrial revolution.
Phase 3- Andrew Jackson lead the Americans to victory at New Orleans!
