Storyboard Text

  • Montresor initiates his plan by meeting Fortunato in Carnival.
  • The Duo arrive at Montresor's estate.
  • Let me welcome you to my mansion.
  • They are descending to the catacombs
  • Montresor is wearing all black to symbolize death. He is faking his happiness. Fortunato is drunk, smiling out of intoxication, and unaware of his upcoming demise. Montresor wants to seem happy so Fortuanto won't suspect anything.
  • Montresor and Fortunato arrive at the support column.
  • Montresor is now signaling to his mansion to tell Montresor to go inside. Montresor is leaning to the side to show that he is drunk. The sky is darker because of the grim location.
  • Montresor begins to build the wall.
  • Fortunato is so drunk from the wine that he has to grab onto Montresor's arm as they walk down the stairs. Montresor and Fortunato are both smiling. Fortunato is drunk, and Montresor is trying to make Fortunato feel a false sense of security.
  • The deed is done.
  • In Pace Requiescat!
  • Fortunato, still drunk, holds onto Montrsor while they enter the Catacombs
  • Montresor's smile had been replaced with a mischievous grin while he walls up Fortunato. Fortunato is slightly less intoxicated, so he is confused.
  • We used the small shapes to cover Fortunato as the wall did. Montresor is walking away, more that satisfied with his actions.
