  • Luther Was Right.
  • When the Church saw Luther's 95 Theses he was summoned to the diet of worms (a gathering of bishops and archbishops in the catholic church). He was ordered to take down his 95 theses or be excommunicated from the church and labelled a heretic (heretics were publicly set on fire).
  • Despite the threats against him Luther defied the Church, he was hidden in a catacomb were he used Johannes Gutenburg's Printing press to replicate his 95 theses and translate the bible into german.
  • Before Luther's translation, no one except for priests could read the bible because it was written in greek and latin only. this meant that when luther translated the bible he opened the public's eyes to the wrong doings of the church. This lead to one of the first protestant religions, Lutherin.
