we are all made up of these tiny things called DNA
DNA goes through a special process to make proteins for the body, this process is called central dogma.
the first step is called transcription, this is when the DNA is copied to make RNA, this is done by having the DNA get unzipped, allowing for an mRNA strand to be built as a copy.
The second step is called translation, during this step the new RNA is used as a recipe to build a protein. A ribosome reads the recipe in mRNA and attaches amino acids in the correct order to make protein
The protein is then used by the body for structional and functional uses
