  • Missouri was debating for three years if they shall be a free state or a slave state. When Missouri had made up there mind with slave state. It was too late both sides were even.
  • Court 
  • hes not guilty
  • Henry Clay from Kentucky had came up with a idea!  We could call it the Missouri Compromise another state could just join the union and we could join the slave state side. 
  • He Was Freed
  •  Dred Scott was a slave When Dr. John Emerson took Dred Scott into a free state. Dr.Emerson brought Dred Scott into a free state but not let Dred Scott free.
  • Dred Scott got upset with this so he went to court with this case all the way to the Supreme Court but they thought Dr. John should be able to take  his "property" were ever he went. The court thought that Dr. Emerson was not guilty.
  • he took me to a free state
  • The Union had heard of Scott's case and got very upset. The union thought that he should be set free. Dred Scott was taking to a free state and it the court aloud slavery so that was not fair. With the help of the union Scott was set free
