10 Year old Kevin has lived in a foster home since he was 4 years old. Unfortunately, Kevin is a part of the small percentage of children who are sexually abused in foster care (Hobbs, Hobbs and Wynne 1999).
Kevin: U r so nice, we shuld play down at the park together, i dnt have many friends that will and play with me. 12y/o: That will be fun!!
This sexual abuse has seriously altered Kevin's interpersonal skills and affected his social functioning, so Kevin does not have any friends (Briere and Elliot 1994).

Kevin's psychological and interpersonal issues continue to be a long term problem throughout the rest of his adolescence due to Kevin being abused for the majority of his childhood (Beithcmen, Zucker, Hood, DaCosta, Adman and Cassavia, 1992).
The sexual abuse has altered Kevin's psycho-sexual development (Beitchman, Zucker, Hood, DaCosta, Akmon and Cassavia 1992). Because of this, Kevin is unable to form healthy relationships with adults and prefers the company of children instead.
Kevin was caught and is now in prison for his own sexual abuse against children.
