  • The Election of 1800 John Adams had lost his Presidency to Thomas Jefferson.
  • " You won!!??"
  • "I won??!!"
  • When Adams was a lame duck he gave out jobs of being judges to every Federalist in sight.
  • "Congratulations you now get to start a job with the government to be a judge!"
  • "Are you a Federalist?"
  • "Yes, why do you ask?"
  • "Yeah thanks!"
  • After that when Jefferson officially took office James Madison informed Thomas Jefferson about the stack of papers he had just discovered.
  • Throw them in the trash.  I will go get new judges myself!"
  • -"Yes sooo?"
  • -"And what?"
  • "Their jobs all went to federalist Sir, they are all signed by Mr. Adams."
  • "Well you see Sir the jobs, they are judges, and"-
  • "Mr. Jefferson, I have found all these papers that are jobs"-
  • The next day a guy named William Marbury went into 'his office"  only to find somebody else sitting at his chair doing his work...
  • "This isn't the last you'll hear of me!"
  • "NO. Who are you? What are you doing in my office? Mr. Adams said this job is mine I have the paper!"
  • "John Adams huh? Well I was appointed by Jefferson himself!
  • 'HelLo Sir, may I help you today?"
  • Marbury sues to get his job back and he makes it al the way to supreme court where the judge is a federalist, John Marshall. Marbury thinks he will get his job back.
  • "I hear by declare this case UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!"
  • Little does Marbury know that John Marshall is think by saying no and ruling the case unconstitutional the federalist get more power by creating checks and balances.
  • Jefferson soon realized that it was a lose lose situation and should've given the jobs to the original people.
  • " I wish I would've given Mr. Marbury his job back when I had the chance."
