  • It was a usual Thursday in Connecticut as I await for my mom near the bus stop like I usually did,. " Why cant she ever be here on time "My mom calls and tells me that she wont be here to pick me up so I just end up walking. It wasn't that long of a walk but, this was usually the time when traffic was bad, and it would take a while to get home. As I am walking I notice that my shoelace came out AGAIN so here I am fixing it and that's when she I see a car coming near me and hear people screaming frantically.
  • Climax
  • As i am nearly waking up all I see are hospital machines and I feel as if I have hundreds of wires connected to my body. Something feel different in my body but I just cant point my finger on it. I have a bandaged put over my eyes so I cant see anything. I finally take it off opened my eyes to see doctors running frantically. That's when I see my parents running up to me. I see there mouths moving, but then why couldn't I hear?
  • Falling Action
  • Today was finally the day I was getting out of this hospital, I’ve been feeling hostile around everyone. I had to have many tests to see if I was actually deaf and if I was every going to get my hearing back, but we all knew the answer to that. I was finally home and, It definitely felt different, what am I saying everything’s going to be different and everybody was going to treat me differently.
  • Resolution/Denoument
  • Here I am looking through the front doors of my school and I’m definitely nervous. I may look the same but I definitely changed. My best friend Charlotte came around to talk to me and before she said anything I grabbed her and told her that I was deaf and she ran away looking shocked. In my last period walked into my class everyone staring at me and I see someone mouthing freak to me. I ran out of class running to the bathroom silently crying and wishing this would just go away.
  • When I got home I see my mom talking at the home smiling like crazy. She starts getting out a pen and paper and tells me that the doctor says I am om the list for the surgery. I am beyond excited that i was going to have the opportunity to hear again "There's just a tiny problem she says "The surgery isn’t for another few years".
  • Today is finally the day of the surgery I couldn’t get any happier, I’ve been deaf for about three years and I have gotten so use to it that I’m nervous to know how it will feel to hear again. On the hospital elevator I getting these thoughts that the surgery might not work and that I shouldn’t get my hopes and then become disappointed. My name gets called up and I put on the robe then lay down, I see the doctor shine the light in my face and that’s when I know that everything is going to be okay. Hours later I finally wake up with doctors all looking down at me smiling. All I hear is Clarissa”. “Mom “I yelled, it worked she said tearful.
