House Bill 909: PAWS Act
The PAWS Act (Pet and Women Safety Act) seeks to expand protections for the pets of domestic violence victims. Victims of domestic violence shouldn’t have to worry about threats or acts of violence against their pets, and this bill would provide protections and resources for victims and their pets.
I think this bill should be passed because it will protect victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence from emotional and psychological trauma caused by acts of violence or threats of violence against their pets.
