Hey man, I have no yams. My dad's a drunk and I have nothing to grow.
I acknowledge that your dad is a drunk and that you have nothing to grow. Many have come to me for yams, but I told them all no.

I can see you're a hardworking dude. I'll give you some yams, plus some more yams.
Okonkwo does not give up though...

And so Okonkwo kept working hard.
