Cultural Misunderstanding continued
This storyboard does not have a description.
Eye contact is expected in our culture, it is a basic essential to a social interaction which shows a person’s interest.
Why do you all stare at people who are different from you? Isn't that a said to be rude in your country? It makes me uncomfortable.
We didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable Johen. We were to make eye contact to strike a conversation with you.
Misunderstandings occur in all communication, even between people from the same cultural and linguistic background.
What is important is that we know how to respond when a misunderstanding occurs and that we learn from our mistakes.
Hey Johen! Thanks for the smile early today.
I'm glad we cleared up the misunderstanding guys.
