The story starts on the island of shalott talking about the mysterious lady of shalott being stuck there. "...round the island there below, the island of shalott... or is she known in all the land, the lady of shalott?"
the story then goes on to say what would happen if she were to look down to Camelot, "A curse is on her if she stay to look down to camelot."
Although she cant leave she has a mirror that can show her the outside world so she doesn't have to leave, "Sometimes a troop of damsels glad... goes by to tower'd Camelot."
Sir Lancelot then went on an adventure into the woods and sang, "Tirra lirra"
The lady of shalott looked down to Camelot to look at sir lancelot and became cursed, "The curse is come upon me..."
Of all the people who rode by Shalott Sir Lancelot was the only person to notice the lady of Shalott, but sadly it was too late she had already died of the curse. "All the knights at Camelot: But Lancelot mused a little space... 'She has a lovely face; God in his mercy lend her grace, The lady of Shalott."
