Me, Ellie May, and James (my two best friends) were all going to hang out at the mall today. Since I was the only one that knew how to drive, I had to go pick them up. They were both at Ellie's house.
Just as I was getting into town, there was a cop. He pulled me over because I was driving too fast because I was late for getting Ellie May and James. Thankfully I didn’t get a ticket because he knew my father and he knew me, but it still took about 5 minutes for him to fill out everything so I ran even more late. When he was done, I quickly drove away.
As I drove down the road, I saw a 18-wheeler coming, driving well over the posted 35 mph speed limit. As I got closer, I could see a huge hole in the road. I hoped that the driver of the 18-wheeler would see it too, but he didn't. I tried to swerve off the road but I couldn’t. The truck hit me head on. I saw my life flash before me.
I could barely see anything. Everything turned dark. Soon, black colored over my vision. Then I started to see a light. It started out small. Then it got bigger and bigger. The next thing I knew, I stood in a paradise. Mansions stood on every street. Everyone looked young. Angels flew in the air playing beautiful music with their trumpets. I found myself in heaven. It seemed unreal. I walked around, searching to see what I could find.
I looked at the most marvelous pond I had ever seen. The water looked crystal clear. I suddenly felt a hand come down on my shoulder. I turned around to see who had touched me. There stood a young girl. She looked familiar, but I couldn't quite figure out who stood there. It was my grandmother.
I went and talked to God and Jesus and they said I was going back to Earth. When I woke up I was back in the hospital. I talked to my mom and dad about being a preacher and I preached at my church. I went to Welch College and met a girl named Millie. We got married and traveled the world with my two best friends teaching others about God and Jesus.
