Storyboard Text

  • "They said Saturday and this is just Friday and I hope to god you ain't going to get up this morning and start talking to me 'bout no money , cause I 'bout don't want to hear it" (Hansberry 26).
  • This scene stands out to me because its shows how anxious Walter is to get the money. It shows how much he talks about it and annoys Ruth.
  • "Yes I would too, Walter. I gave her a five dollar down payment" (Hansberry 73).
  • I think this is an important scene because this is where Walter finds out that Ruth is pregnant. He also finds out she might have an abortion.
  • "...Good night, Prometheus!" (Hansberry 86)
  • " Child when do you think is the time to love somebody the most?...It's when he's at his lowest and can't believe in hisself 'cause the world done whipped him so!" (Hansberry 145).
  • Prometheus is a god that thought he was at the top and the best but really he's not and as much as he tries to help something always goes wrong. Just like George.
  • "There ain't nothing worth holding on to, money, dreams, not his else, if it means it's going to destroy my boy" (Hansberry 106).
  • This shows that mama loves her family more than anything else. If anything were to happen to them it'd break her heart.
  • I find this science interesting because Linder is saying that the neighborhood is threatened by them. When really they all just do not like change.
  • "You can't just force people to change their hearts son" (Hansberry 119).
  • This is an important part because Mama is teaching Benetha and us that it's important to be there for someone in their lowest rather their highest. Referring to Walter.
