Today i'm gonna ask questions about floods. Remember a flood is a natural disaster event or occurrence where a piece of land, or area, that is usually dry land overflow by a large amount of water.
What can cause a flood?
Flooding occurs most commonly from heavy rainfall when natural watercourses don't have the capacity to convey excess water.
The effects of flooding includes loss of human life, damage to property, loss of livestock etc.

How do they measure floods?
Floods are measured by the water level that's read by a stream gauge or tide gauge for a body of water at a specific location.
During a flood we should keep emergency numbers and important information, keep emergency supplies, make sure everything is secured, make sure you're in a safe place, etc.
