  • Odysseus was a strategic, wise, and skillful man who, after the Trojan War, makes the eventful decade-long journey back home to Ithaca.
  • Circe
  • Calypso was a nymph who detained Odysseus on her island for seven years but eventually lets him go after being commanded by Zeus to do so. She is persuasive, self-centered, and extremely flirtatious.
  • Cyclops
  • Athena, also known as Muse, was the goddess who helped Zeus throughout his long journey home. She is selfless, wise, and caring.
  • Penelope
  • Circe is magical, manipulative, trouble-seeking witch who turns Odysseus' men into pigs by making them drink a magical drink.
  • The Cyclops is an evil, absent-minded creature that traps Odysseus and his men in his cave. He accepts undiluted wine from Odysseus and is then blinded while in a drunken state.
  • Penelope is Odysseus' grieving yet faithful wife. While Odysseus is on his way home, suitors bombard the house, planning to marry Penelope. She continuously stalls the suitors in hope of her husband's return.
