Storyboard Text

  • After celebrating Beowulf's victory against Grendel, Grendel's angry mother comes to Herot and kills esher, Hrothgar's most trusted man. Beowulf then goes to fight her. She brings him to her underwater cave. Beowulf's weapons are useless. He is near death when he sees a sword on the wall. It is magical, so it works to kill Grendel's mother. He is victorous.

  • Beowulf brought home Grendel's skull from his mother's lair. A huge celebration was thrown for the rid of grendels mother and beowulfs victory. Welthow, Hrothgars wife toasted him. Then in a couple of years, Beowulf returns to his homeland.
  • Oh Beowulf! You are very brave, courageous, and strong! We are so thankful for your presence!

  • Beowulf returned to his young king Higlac and his queen, Higd. Beowulf told them of his journey. Beowulf then gave them many of his treasures. A while later, Higlac died in battle. Beowulf was offered the throne, but refused because Higlacs son Herdred was next for the throne. Herdred died later and Beowulf became king.

  • Beowulf has always fought bravely and never gave up. He was a good man who always defeated the evil in our world.
  • Beowulf, we thank you. Here, 7000 hides of land for you!

  • ...And then I ripped off the arm of the terrible beast!
  • Meanwhile, a slave woke up a dragon by stealing a jewled cup to please his master. The dragon caused a huge fury through out the land.

  • Beowulf and his men went to battle the dragon. All of his men, besides Wiglaf, fleed because they were fearful of the dragon. Beowulf became weak due to the monsters venom. Wiglaf slayed the dragon in half and rushed to the aid of his king. Beowulf asked to see some of there treasure and he then told Wiglaf some of his final wishes. Beowulf then died.
  • We are all going to die! Run!

  • Beowulfs body was burt and a tower was built in his honor. His ashes were sealed in the walls of his tower, as well as his treasures.
  • Dear God, Please bless this motionless cargo, he has been a good man.
