Storyboard Text

  • My name is Genivieve Herrington, daughter of Lord Herrington. My family and I live on a grand fief, and we work under the Count of Yorkshire, England. Being the second daughter, I am not the immediate heir to the throne, but my beloved sister is. All I've ever desired for was to fit into the role of being a potential heir to my father's throne.
  • Count Henry is coming to visit. -Mother
  • I shall awaken later, Hilda.
  • What a beautiful morning! -Sister
  • Shall I fetch Genivieve for breakfast?
  • As I crept down the stairs this morning for breakfast, I eavesdropped in on my mother and sister's conversation.
  • Ah, darling, I can't wait for the Count to arrive! He is going to crown you new Head Mistress, as your father is languishing on his death bed.
  • I walked down to the old sorcerer's hut for advice; for I needed guidance on my situation.
  • Knock Knock
  • If you must; drink the potion. Ensure that it happens for the right reasons. The potion will reverse your identity, and erase every single characteristic component of yours. You will be a clean slate.
  • Everyone fits in; the serfs have their hard labor, the townspeople worship, cook, and build, the lords and ladies pray and manage; the guilds and merchants manufacture. I have no one or nowhere to go.
  • I made my way to the royal chamber where my sister would be crowned. I was aware of the decision that had to be made. I had to fit in. I drank the potion.
  • My vision clears, I realize that I have piles of clothing to seam and stitch. Looking out my window, I relish the warm and humid city air. Up at the crest there sits the castle. I have a vivid memory of drinking a bubbly liquid and after that my memory is hazy. I realize that now I can fit in to society.
