  • LAND: -Ghana is bordered by Cote D'Ivore to the west -It is bordered by Togo to the east -It is bordered by BUrkina Faso to the north

  • GOVERNMENT: Ghana had a monarchy, it was ruled by kings

  • Ghana has many resources, some of which are gold, kola nuts, and ivory
  • Because of these resources, Ghana become very prosperous
  • They traded these resources with cities along the Mediterranean for salt
  • Also practiced ancestor veneration by giving sacrifices to their ancestors and praying they would help them in times of need
  • The religion in ancient Ghana was a mix of supernatural and spiritual powers
  • Some people followed Islam, and others followed Christianity when it spread to Ghana
